This morning at 7 she ate for the first time - her favorite sheba food. I had tears in my eyes when I saw it.

I hope with all my heart she gets better. It's been really hard seeing her hurt like this.

Good to see her doing better. It sucks so much to see your pets ill, because you can't really do anything about it, or to ease it. Hopefully she'll be right as rain in no time.

Even when you do something about it, you keep questioning yourself whether you did the right thing and not just caused some useless pain to the poor animal that trusts you.

I hope Lisa has improved a bit more by now. Our pets are our 'children', we hate to do anything that causes them pain and we worry ourselves sick about them.

Cats are very strong, hardy creatures so the chances are excellent that Lisa will be back to her normal self very soon.

hugs you and gives Lisa a pat

She improved a bit indeed. Not much, but what can we expect? At least she's eating and drinking water normally. I am afraid she's still in pain. Still confused about what happened to her.

I'm afraid she won't forgive you for taking her to the vet that easily.
That traumatic experience might be worse than the surgery itself.

That's what I'm afraid too. The whole experience was traumatic, especially since she's always been healthy and didn't need more than an occasional injection.
