health care

The healthcare system in Romania is like a scary movie. Old retired people who are ill have to pay more than they earn for the medication that keeps them alive, the hospitals are a horror experience where you have to bribe the doctors and nurses to do their jobs and buy your own medication occasionally ( Read more... )

This is absolutely dreadful. It is one thing to do a confidential health screening, sent anonymously to study disease demographics, but this is a clear breach of doctor/patient confidentiality. And to make future treatment dependent on giving in to this testing is downright disgusting.

I always thought herbal tea tasted like piss.... what do you know - I was right....

yes, the gvt. is entitled to statistic data, but personal data? but in this country nobody is familiar with the concept of confidentiality, it seems.

and yes, herbal tea has all the chemical data of piss, it seems! now wonder I don't like the stuff!

WTF? What a stupid shit of an ex-family doctor! I hate mine too, but for different reasons. But I have to admit I HATE doctors with all my heart anyway.

The law says you can go to any doctor if you don't have a family doctor. There is no penalty for not doing it, of course nobody can force you to take blood tests, though there are rumous circulating about a fine. Maybe the rumors are started on purpose, to scare people...

Confidentialitatea este in Romania un cuvint existent doar in dictionar.
