Dean deliberately didn't look at Cas and kept his eyes on the demon who had kidnapped and tortured him by the looks of it for at least a few hours. Dean grasped Ruby's knife - hidden from the demon's view but ready to throw at any given opening.

This hit all my hurt/comfort buttons! I loved the image of Dean propping Cas up against him in the bed. But then your LJ cut said "Read More" and I clicked it and there was no more to read. /pout/ Is there more to the this story or was that the end?

May I make a suggestion for next time? The body of the story, the major text of it - if you put it behind an lj cut, then it won't clog up your friend's Flist page and anybody that wants to read the fic can just click the lj cut.

Now you have given me the urge to write some hurt!Cas fic of my own! I see a pattern here where you give me all the fic ideas, woman. ;)

Thanks I'll use the lj cut tip. No not the end I actually started in the middle. Question if I edit it here does it update like a new entry every time?

Well, I'll be interested to see it when you get the whole thing finished!

If you edit a post, LJ won't 're-post' it - only if you change the date at the top, I think. But yeah, if you add the lj-cut now, after-the-fact, it will just edit the old entry and not repost it as a separate piece - is that what you wanted to know? You can always put some of the story outside the cut too - like the rating and pairing to entice readers in and maybe a line or paragraph as a tease to the reader to get them interested.
