Thats the website for Texas DSHS if it helps. You seem to be within the income requirements for WIC which is usually the same for medicaid so I hope that will help change your situation for the better :)
I think you should go personally into the welfare office, and wait to see a caseworker. My husband was inbetween jobs and getting unemployment, but no health insurance. anyhow, have all your bills, and paystubs including car payments, rent electric, EVERYTHING and put it all out and then speak your mind. Im not liking the internet/phone stuff you get SO much more done in person.
Thankfully, it's looking like things might work out after all. It turns out that they hadn't received the proof of Wes' income yet, but the guy said that I had until the 17th, and that the denial letter had come too early because he'd gone off on vacation and that it was probably sent by the worker who took his place while he was gone.
