Now that I am actually doing things, I never feel like I can get caught up enough to post. Highlights of this summer so far include my sister's graduation, going to readercon with zia_narratora and meeting a lot of interesting people, and getting heat exhaustion while working at my mother's fireworks stand. Wait, maybe that last one wasn't actually a highlight

I highly recommend Beauty Queens! It's a super fun book that had me in literal stitches. Matched was also good, but I haven't had a chance to read its sequel yet.

Any game apps that allow the pass and play feature! I believe words with friends (and probably all the "... with friends") allow that. It can definitely help with the boredom. And cards, because good old fashioned card games never seem to go out of style. (Also, there are soooo many different solitaire games so you can play by yourself, too.) And if you haven't tried it, or one like it, yet, I recommend Cinexplayer. It's an app that lets you just drag and drop your movie files into it without having to worry about it being coded as an mp4. (Unless it's an mkv, which seems to be the only format it won't play.) I like it because then I'm not freaking out about converting files for the ipad

OMG HAVE FUN. It will be awesome, even if it does take place by the side of a parking lot. When I was researching spiders in soybean fields I still felt like I was in a SyFy movie.
