I had/have a horrible shoulder... thing. I was super skeptical of going to a chiropractor because they don't "seem" like "real" doctors, but my mom swore this guy fixed her migraines. Anyway, now my shoulder pain is manageable and doesn't cause me to cry weekly. Definitely a plus.

Strangled nerves (for lack of a better term-- I'm not an MD either) really suck. I have a chronic problem with a nerve in my hip getting pinched by the piriformis muscle, but about 15 years ago when it was at its worst, my primary care physician sent me to a doctor of "manual medicine" (probably the same as a chiropractor, but he studiously avoided use of the term) who helped a lot. Also, there's something fun about being turned into a human gumby doll. :-)
Perhaps we could get together this summer sometime? More talking, less typing! And don't think you and Kate have met yet...
