It left me very bitter that my greedy ex wouldn't even part with one of the three Royal Doulton dinner services his mother gave us (and one of those was a wedding present). So it's been a long while coming, but I finally went and bought my own bone china - not RD, but Noritake - what can I say? I live in Japan and I think they're just as good. I ( Read more... )

It's *beautiful*! My parents got a Noritake service for their wedding day and they still have it - and they are celebrating their 50th anniversary on October 4th :-). Noritake is so elegant - a lovely choice!

I'm so happy with it! It just gives me a boost everytime I use a plate! Just having that touch of elegance in one's life is such a buzz. Oh, that's lovely to hear your parents still have theirs. You must tell me what the design is next time you are over there, (if you want to). I'm curious!

I have a beautiful Noritake dinner set that I adore! Much prefer it to Royal Doulton :-) Cannot recall the design name for mine but it has a green pattern edge. Yours looks beuatiful too :-)

That's beautiful! Really lovely! I love green edging ~ there's just something that appeals because it's green (my favourite colour) and I love the way the inner circle changes from gold to coppper - I'm sure there are other colours there, that we can't see without the real life plate before us, but I just picked up on that change and it's beautiful!
