Sunflower Shawl

Sep 25, 2014 22:56

I'm not sure how I forgot about this in that last entry... but I finally finished my Tuscan Sunflower Shawl. Took about four months, and I ripped it out twice to get it to go right. It's a knitpick.com pattern, and I used the Comfy cotton yarn for it. I love the texture.

Cut for the picture... )

Thank you!! I'm glad you like it. The geometry really did work out well, and I love the arc of the increases. *grins*

That is gorgeous! I hadn't thought of doing a lace shawl in cotton, but I think it could be very nice.
Ouch on all that weaving in of ends, though!

It is very nice for a summer shawl, and I wouldn't have thought of it, but the pattern had several alternatives. Also... for summer knitting it was really nice to be holding a lot of cotton in my lap instead of wool.

Yeah. Those ends. *sniff* Next time...

That is amazing.

Also, I had a moment of shock that Jet was that big now, but then I realized that, gosh, MY kid is getting close to as tall as I am, and her feet are longer than mine (she stole my sandals! ...I got hers, which are a little short for me, but not badly), so yeah, of course Jet would also grow.
