I spent the entire weekend at La Foret, a UCC-supported retreat out in the Black Forest just west of Colorado Springs. It was an all-family retreat, so it included nearly anyone wanted to go, and was headed by Luke, our new pastor

That sounds really wonderful, kind of like GS camp Should Have Been, but most definitely wasn't. A pinata! Singing! and s'mores, all with people you like, wow. The labyrinth is something I am familiar with from being a life long UU, and the weather sounds perfect. Bit jealous here, Houston doesn't get cool until December, and sometimes not even then. Glad you had such a good time, how relaxing. C
yeah, I'll admit that I really wish that Girl Scouts camp was more like this! I'm really grateful that the weather has cooled off from the mid-90s and even the hundred degree weather we were having in August. Here, however, it's just a prelude to the snow. We have had snow in September before, but usually doesn't show up until October. Sometimes I think all Colorado nose is all-winter or all-summer, and fall and spring are just the two seasons changing off.
Today it was in the mid-80s, and tomorrow it should be in the 50s, so the weather around here is a little bit strange. *laugh*
