That was pure awesomeeee! I can hardly wait for the next installment. I especially love it that you included so many people that KT just brushed aside so easily. (The Kasumiouji! You remembered them! :D) You people are fantabulous. :)

Yes! The Kasumiouji. Well, can't have one of the Major Clans left out. Even if they were pretty decimated by the whole Amagai fiasco...would *still* be around, I think, as they were trying to clean things up after.

I know, I'm mixing in anime canon with manga canon, but... it seemed silly to leave them out.

I so, so adore how you brought the boar riding into this. Poor Sasakibe... I also love the political aspect to this--all the little niceties and ceremonies, and the way Sasakibe knew how to use the clans' pride to motivate them.

It was fun to go from the extreme of the Shibas to the niceties of Sasakibe's approach to life. *laughs* Figured the boar-riding would have most affronted him on *all* counts.

I'm so glad you enjoyed that!!

I do enjoy poking the Clans in their pride, I have to admit it's such an easy target. *laughs*

Bwaahahaa, Sasakibe riding the boar was hilarious. Because he's so... regal! But I loved it and loved the little moment of politics with the houses and the way he embraced (and missed) The Old Ways. The teary-eyed Shibas made me aww and Soi Fong was Soi Fong. Man, being down one arm doesn't slow her at all, does it?! Cool!

I enjoyed the conversation between the Shiba siblings. You know there is love between them, it's just really really really deep.

I sat on the edge of my seat through most of this chapter. It's hard to type when your fingers are crossed from hoping that everything goes well. >.
