Jet's Birthday, Jet Pens, and Buyer's Remorse

Feb 03, 2010 23:28

This morning Jet and I were playing in the basement to stay out of the housecleaner's way as Jet had a Late Start Day and he had a pile of presents from his ninth birthday yesterday. He'd been really patient, not opening them in the morning because I got up late and not opening them when he got home from school because John was helping with ( Read more... )

You should see what T40s go for these days. Actually, most of the ones I see for sale these days are "for parts." There's probably a message there, but I think I'll be stubborn about hearing it a bit longer.

It's good to be stubborn... I rather like what my T42 does for me, so I'll stick with it. All I need is a bit of internet gaming, writing, and portability. No need to recycle a perfectly good machine!

That would be extremely fun. But I do want to see pictures of anything you take to the show!

Certainly! I shall definitely take them to make sure I have a record of them. It's funny going through my pictures and realizing how many paintings I've given away or simply don't have anymore.

That's cool, too, to know that friends like them enough to want them!

Hurrah on dealing with buyer's remorse!

Oooh... I know some people who will go nuts at that Jet Pens site. Thank you for providing the link. That'll come in handy when my dad's birthday rolls around.

I'm also not very surprised the OUR Center is glad to get the bowls you paint - they're gorgeous! I look forward to hearing about tha art show.

You're very, very welcome! I love that site, and will spend far too much time on it, but it's cool in that I don't actually spend all THAT much money there. I love doing that.

Yes, being able to *deal* with my remorse was very, very good indeed, though feeling it was pretty nasty for a bit. *laughs*

I'm not clicking on that pen link. No way in hell. I have a weakness for that kind of thing. I have spent over an hour browsing the pen aisle in Staples *head desk*.

Your art is wonderful and I'm not surprised in the least that people are willing to pay more for your stuff.

Hee.

I am weak that way, too.

It would be cool to be able to at least pay for my supplies, that would be good enough for me, I think.

Someday, my Airbook's battery is going to start going, and you will hear my howls of anguish from orbit...

The Genius Bar'd better be able to replace Airbook batteries.

(Yay art and stuff!)

Oh, I'm SURE they'll be able to replace your batteries. They're good that way. Heck, if they can replace the batteries of an old PC notebook of 1000's of types of notebooks in the world, they will be able to replace the one in your Airbook.

Then again... hm... iPods are notorious for having to be tossed because of dead batteries. oops...

*dances about about the art*

I will probably LOOM at them until they either crack my case and give me a fresh battery, or give me a fresh laptop. *evil grin*
