I am... uhm... officially functional, so far as my lung capacity goes. I finally went over the 70% mark today, which isn't as good as fully-functional lungs in an adult female human being my size and weight, but it is much better than I was a year and a half ago, when I started my whole allergy thing. It has the additional feature of being

The first FMA anime was good, but I didn't love all the changes they made past the Greed arc (which is ofc where the first anime diverges from the manga). The movie was good in some ways, but really really awful in others. You might want to watch that to 'finish out' that story (because you're absolutely right, they left the anime on an open note to be tied up with the movie). And then, watch FMA Brotherhood. :) They sort of fast-track the beginning to get caught up to where things diverged last time, and then the story stays truer to the manga storylines. I'm quite enjoying it.

Yeah... I wasn't even that into how the Greed arc played out in the first anime series... and then it veered even more wildly. I'll have to find the movie, then. *laughs* Thank you for telling me that I wasn't just seeing things. *laughs*
Neat about Brotherhood. Thank you for the recommendation!!

Nah. I've lost some lung function permanently. I started at about 63% a year and a half ago... went up to about 68% at the end of last summer, went back down to 65% this last spring, and then back up to 70% at the end of this summer.
I'm never going to hit 100%... long term loss, but I can fight to regain what I can and it'll just slow it down for later.

I actually liked the first Ghost in the shell best, but there were a lot of really interesting and thought provoking things in the the second season that I loved anyway.
Saiyuki Gaiden totally rocked me. All the friendship and subtext and loyalty. I knew it was gonna suck ass in the end, but I still cried like a little girl. I just hope they have changed their fortunes enough to get it right this lifetime.
I've loved Shunsui since he first appeared and every time he showed up again I loved him more. And now it's just unf... He probably needs a hug, but he certainly made me want to jump him. :P
I never ever thought he was as simple as he appeared to be. I am SO VERY HAPPY to see that belief in print. I will fangirl with you. :D

Yay! Jumping Shunsui!! *giggles* He is amazing, and, yes, NOT as simple as he appeared to start. I love that it's playing out this way.
*fangirls happily with you*
