YAY for the pinewood derby!!!!!

My troop (oh god that sound so weird to say) is getting out cars ready for our derby which I THINK is still a few weeks away. It is a lot of fun though

Yummy. It is. And, yeah, Jet had a great time, too! Though he was a little disappointed by not getting through the semi-finals, he was okay with it. So that was really good, too, and we tried to encourage the fact that he'd done it all himself and that he learned stuff about how to make the car go faster next year, too.

LOL Cosmo has his pinewood derby next week. Sadly it was initially canceled because it was -35F windchill the day it was scheduled and the leaders didn't want the kids out and about even in the car.

Great dream by the way! I wish I could remember mine more often.

I love my mom's ham and beans. Yum you've made me hungry. :D

Whew. I'm glad that they canceled in THAT kind of weather. Hope that it works out for the coming week!

I try extra hard for the first dream of the new year, just to see if the elements of it carry out... *grins*

I should check last years dreams...

Mmmm... beans, *laughs* They're so lowly in some ways, but for me they're comfort food. Ham and beans. Yum...

Homemade Chili, Ham & Beans and Chicken Noodle Soup were the one constant comfort in our lives growing up. My parents always cooked them together every winter at least once sometimes more often when they could.

I love it when food is associated with such good memories. :D

I have to agree... been making a lot of chili this winter, which is why the Huge Bean Boil... as I like packaging up the cooked beans in one pound packets that I can use in chili. I'll have to try the chicken noodle soup sometime...
