Many thanks to incandescens for her beta and editor-fu.

Also thanks to sophiap for her comment that Shunsui wasn't really *there* in the first two chapters. I started wondering why... and this is what came up.

Oh, that's wonderful! I love your take on Shunsui, and his hesitation to kill, and how his desire to help earlier on was still tied into a self-destructive impulse. His distrust of the Powers That Be is also rather intriguing. I look forward to seeing the fallout from this.

*smile* I'm very glad you liked young Shunsui so much. He is all kinds of forces going in all kinds of directions, still, and it's been really interesting to see what happens.

Yeah, he has reasons to not trust things as they are. I'm wrestling with how to show those things in force at the moment... so it's cool to realize that I did a solid enough job of showing the seeds of that here for a few folks to pick up.

Hahaha oh dear, Urahara and Yuorichi did get themself into a spot of trouble didn't they? Rather surprised poor Ukitake, too!

I love how Shunshui still can't kill anyone. It's something that fits him in a strange, surprising way. Sorry, in too much of a hurry to write as long as earlier. Next part! :O

*laughs* I'm glad you liked what the kids did. And, yes, rather surprised poor Ukitake. *laughs*

Yeah. I do love how Shunsui... hesitates.

He says it's because anticipation is good for the soul, now. *laughs and laughs*

Ahem.

No problems about not writing long things. I've been very impressed with your comments so far, and there've been a few people who've just shown up at the latest chapter saying, "I just read the whole thing!"

I'm very grateful that you're commenting as you go.
