Liralen, thank you for writing about your life, your hopes, your experiences. Even though I'm bad about commenting I truly enjoy reading your insights and, because you are a "writer", you put into words things I've been feeling but can't express as well. I'm glad you found your writer self ( ... )

I *have* a journal at Dreamwidth, this one is just a reflection of the one that's there. I've found you there and have set things up so that we can follow each other.

It's good to wear the mask when you are more comfortable with it!! I am still wearing mine in all public spaces, and where there are people I don't know and who wouldn't tell me if they found out that they'd contracted COVID. The habits of the last year are hard to break, and I don't think I really need to for most folks. But I've known this friend for more than 40 years, so I couldn't bring myself to not hug him when I *knew* it was safe. I hated my winter colds, especially knowing that they all came from one gathering spot that I loved gathering in but hated that people came with their colds... I will probably continue wearing my masks there.

But it's interesting knowing what the data shows. It's good to revise my understanding with new data; but sometimes it's hard, emotionally, to just change when I really haven't felt safe around people for the last year.
