Wish I could give you some meaningful advice, but I am stuck in a very similar limbo and I cannot even give any advice to myself. They say that you should never try to go back to the place where you were once happy - but then again, "they" don't seem to agree on where this saying comes from (it's "an Italian proverb" vs "a song by Joaquin Sabina" vs "oh, I don't know but it does sound poignant, doesn't it") or what it was supposed to mean originally, so maybe we can take that with a grain of salt (or not).
