The bayou, just after midnight, Wednesday

A few moments after midnight, anyone who might be looking out into the bayou would notice a number of softly glowing lights flickering into existence over the bayou. They hovered in the darkness for several moments, before a gust of wind swept through, shaking tree limbs and rippling the water, and then they winked out

Cassie, woken by bad dreams happened to be looking out of her dorm room window when the lights on the bayou flickered. She frowned slightly, a little puzzled by the odd occurrence, and watched for a couple moments longer before heading back to bed to attempt sleep again.

Coffin paused and cast its one eye up from the gator it had been using as a trampoline.

Hm. Maaaaybe it had better head home.

Coffin gave a final bounce and scuttled off back towards the town.

Edmund stood in his bedroom window and stared out toward the bayou.
