It's already here! I ordered my 50mm f/1.8 prime lens Friday and it already came! So far I've just wandered around the house snapping things and getting used to it, but I can already tell I love it. LOVE IT. Also just in time for OBX this weekend!

I am SO excited to get to know it - I can't get over the fact that I can now take photos indoors in low lighting! It's amazing!

I hope I end up with something good, and it's not too cold to stay out and try a couple! Maybe the red wine will help with the cold ;) (and boredom while I sit, haha)

Awesome! You'll definitely love that lens, though eventually you'll find yourself drooling over the f/1.4s and f/1.2s. :)

Ooh, night and astrophotography is definitely something I'd like to explore. Star trails are so freaking cool. :) I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thank you so much for encouraging me to get it, I can tell it's going to be one of my new favorites, if not THE favorite. I hope it's a little while before I start coveting something else though, lol... I can't afford any more toys!

I am going to do a bunch of research before I head out, and write down what my specs should be at certain time lengths... I know it'll be trial and error, but hopefully not 100% error, hehe :)

It's a must-have, you'd have heard that from someone sooner or later if not me. Glad the timing worked out for you to get one now, though! :)

Remember, the moon is illuminated by the sun, so the sunny-16 rule applies! ;)
