Their first time had been rushed and awkward.

On their day off, some of the Juniors had decided to go to the pool. Kame and Jin had joined them, after all, the day had been sunny and hot. And it had happened so suddenly, one second he had been running around with the others, showing his acrobatics off on a small patch of grass; next second, he crouched down in embarrassment and tried to cover his erection.

The others had continued running and screamed at him to hurry, but Jin had noticed. Of course, he had, Jin always notices when he tries to hide something, he even does it today. Kame remembers how his ears had felt even hotter than the rest of his body, remembers how he had stared up at Jin and felt so small and waited for him to start laughing. But Jin hadn’t laughed, just looked at him strangely and then grabbed his arm, dragged him into the dirty toilet stalls and proceeded to give him the first hand job of his life.

The second time they had nearly been caught.

It had been Jin who was in need of a helping hand then and Kame had been all too happy to return the favor. Jin had been too loud, and the next morning when Kame’s parents had asked what happened, they had flushed from head to toe and Kame had stuttered out an explanation that was impossible to believe. His mother had, however, nodded and left them alone. Kame remembers being glad. After she had left, Jin had looked at him a bit sheepish and laughed in that carefree manner of his; Kame had joined him seconds later, not knowing why.

Their third time changed everything.

It had happened after some Shonen Club performance which Kame now regrets not remembering the date of. They had done well and, still high from the show, laughed and fooled around backstage until the others had been tired of them and left. Kame had been sitting on something he can’t bring to mind anymore, the memory feels old and used like the pages of a worn photo album. He had been sitting, and Jin had been standing and then leaning and then they had been kissing. Kame does remember the fluffy feeling he had experienced then, despite them being inexpert and unsure of what to do and how to continue. He remembers ragged breathing, the metallic taste of blood where their teeth had bumped and hurt his gums and he remembers the look in Jin’s eyes when they had parted.

“Do you want to be my boyfriend?”

It is Kame’s dearest memory.
