Sorry your brain isn't behaving according to the quizzes' standards. Stupid quizzes. This is exactly why I keep deciding not to go back to school. Ever. I hate studying.

Did you get your lunch? I just had mine. Dinner's looking thin tonight. Salad. Note to self: Go to store and buy salad and other healthy things.

Do Chicklets count as snack foods? Because I've developed a real taste for them in the last week.

Stupid quizzes. I blame the teaching style. It is official, I learn best in a classroom setting.

Did get my lunch. Since I am lazy and need structure I've started bringing SlimFast shakes for lunch. Dinner is a turkey sandwich and a fresh tomato. With some chocolate. Some cravings cannot be denied.

I say that Chicklets count as snack foods. I'm no expert but you should go with your gut instinct. *wink*

Ah! I do the SlimFast for breakfast thing (and am starting tonight with it for dinner, plus a veggie), but I have to have real food at lunch or I die.

Well, crap. I fear that you are right. Chicklets are nothing but sugar, so they are probably not on the approved-foods list. *scavenges grapes from meeting leftovers*

See, I decided to only do the SlimFast for lunch because my breakfast is usually pretty tiny anyway. Plus the shakes are kinda expensive.

Mmmmm ... grapes.

Ugh, dieting. That's always a pain.

It really, really is. It is the age old question of priorities and, dangit, mine can't include carbs at the moment. *grumble grumble*

Stupid LSAT course! I'm so sick and tired of standardized tests - it's a big argument in mind against ever trying the law school one. I swear I almost passed out from boredom while taking the GREs.

Good luck on the diet! I'm currently challenging myself to not eat any sweets/deserts during the month of September. I don't do full-on diets because if it's not a permanent change it won't do any good, but I'm trying to prove to myself I am stronger than the chocolate. We'll see if it wins...

*ponders at your book club* sounds interesting...I read a few of the Narnia books when I was little (and that one several times) but never got that into them. Could be interesting talking with others and seeing why they like 'em so much.

Yeah, standardized tests are mostly annoying. Thing is, I have to do really well because I had a very bad semester of college (clinical depression = failed every class = GPA kinda soft) so I'm a little stressed.

But not too terribly because the internet tutorial sucks much harder then the actual test.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of diets but they do take off the pounds relatively quickly and that's what I'm looking for here. Plus it'll help me get out of the habit of sitting on my couch and snacking.

You should totally join the book club! It'll be great to get a non-fans impression of the book. I'd much rather have good discussion then a squee-fest. Plus, after we're done with Lion we'll go on to something new and exciting and you don't want to miss that. ;-)

ouch.
I feel like I remember graduate school apps having something somewhere where you could explain things like that on your transcript - or maybe it was someone saying that we should ask people writing references to mention it or something. Here's hoping you ace the actual test (and internet tutorials be damned) and the schools look enough at your other semesters and the fact that you are awesome and everything works!

*relents to twisted arm* book club it is :) I think I even have a copy at home (plus, oddly, my mom is planning to read it with her kids before the movie comes out so the house is probably swimming in copies) so I'll check when I'm back in Chicago. After Lion would be fun - except starting in January I'm gonna have very, very minimal interweb access. Eh, it'll work and certainly would be cool!

Good to know about the apps. Since it is law school and the admissions won't be quite as heavy as they are for undergrads I'm hoping that they take a serious look at my transcript rather then give my GPA a cursory glance.

Yay! I love my arm twisting skills. And it's not so much about constant and unrelenting participation as it about doing interesting things with interesting people.
