Had to take a sleeping pill to fall asleep last night. Course, that always means that I sleep through my alarm the next morning. Thankfully this time I woke up with plenty of time to get ready but it was still very disorienting to wake up and realize that I had turned off my alarm without even realizing it

This week truly is long. I'm trying to put out of my mind the fact that is only Tuesday afternoon. Not even 1 p.m. I think I'm going to clean my cube.That should help. And write you an email because Ferris Bueller, you're my hero!

Maybe it might help to pick a single character and concentrate on him/her for a while, and try and write a single POV character piece with just the one character.

I've had some nice success with that technique in the past. There have been a few times where a character has stood up and demanded my attention. Unfortunately that doesn't happen very often.

The thing is, the way I relate to characters impedes writing in their voices. While I understand motivation and history and things like that I just ... I don't know. It's kind of hard to explain. At the moment I'm just tired of trying to work around all of my blocks and would rather write with my own characters. Maybe that way I'll actually get something written. =D
