You're not the only one who has carried with him into adulthood a feeling of joy at Christmas. I've even go so far as to force my jewish boyfriend into celebrating it in at least the way depicted in modern ways by good will, gift giving, and good cheer

Aww, that's sweet. :-) It gives me a warm glow to know that Christmas still has that power over others besides myself.

And what a beautiful Christmas Card you painted with your re-telling of your family's Christmas morning. You and your brothers creeping into you parents' bedroom to quietly sit on the floor awaiting their awakening. Norman Rockwell couldn't have painted a better picture. :-)

Heheh! Glad you too enjoy the season, my dear!

This simple lion too enjoys the merriment of Christmas, but unfortunately, these past few years have been lonely Christmas’s. While I still feel the joy you do, They have just been spent by my mother, father and I. No friends or other family come to visit unfortunately. The only real connection we have is text messages, phone calls and “skyping” foreign relatives. It’s...an interesting occurrence in our household.

But yes, I do find it nice to kick back on the day and just relax and take a chill pill. One day of every year to relax and spend time with loved ones.

Christmas-time is that magical time of year... where somehow, everyone gets a little different and aren't so mean... (but look out December 26th at the department stores, YIKES!).

I can only hope that yours was a happy one... :)
