I wouldn't. I'd organise a social event - not a fundraiser - go bowling or have a meal out and invite them along. Invite friends you want as prospective members too, and while your're out having fun tell 'em you miss 'em at meetings.
My club is actually just transitioning toward younger members, though I'm still the only one under 40, I believe, and certainly only one of three under 40. Most of the members that we have on paper but don't attend are actually too old to get around easily.
Our focus is on getting more and younger members, to make sure that there's still a club in 20 years.
That said, we have many members in their 70s and 80s that attend most meetings. We're also the single most-active club in our district.
Fortunately, this community doesn't have a tail twister. *Giggle!*
