Oh, I really like this. I'd saved the link for reading time, and oh, yes, this is good. Percy - what a doll! A prissy, fussy, adorable doll. I think you really got him here. He's sharp and tart, and still sympathetic. And the way we see him come, by degrees, to ease into Remus (who's also portrayed wonderfully - worn and weary and patient, but not lank or without luster) is very good. I like the bit of edge that the fic has, that it's not all sweet, soft roses.

Thank you very much! You made me very happy :) with this, since I wasn’t sure about this one. I did discover that I couldn’t tell any of the story from Percy’s POV because his general motives are rather inexplicable to me - with all the ambition and whatnot… lol… but it was fun to see him from Remus’ POV. I think Percy is more likeable when seen through a more sympathetic character.

I realized I never commented the first time I read this but I was going through some of my Memories to rec a Remus piece (I recced this one) and I do like this piece a lot. The moments you've written seem very real and they do the whole "show, don't tell" thing very well. I'm quite fond of your Percy here; he really is more sympathetic yet still himself. I especially like the line about him growing weary of defending his opinions (but he'll continue doing it!). Now I'm wondering if you want to explore this relationship a bit more. (BTW, I did read this as gen but I can see the pre-slash.)

Thank you so much! It was very exciting to find your comment on this today *beams*
If I recall, I intended to make this a bit slashier, but this was as far as I could get Remus and Percy to go, heh. I do feel like they'd an excellent pairing, though ~ I think Remus would have the necessary fair-mindedness to give Percy a real chance, and also the requisite amount of patience. :D
