“You make it hard for anybody to get close, you know,” she said with exasperation.
“Maybe I don’t want anybody that close,” he muttered under his breath.
“Malina is a perfectly lovely person. She said you took her home straight after dinner and barely said two words, she thought you hated her. Harry, it was just rude.”
“Well, stop setting me up on blind dates, then.”
“And the reason you wore long sleeves in August?” Hermione pushed up his cuff, revealing the twisted battle scars, and watched him flinch.
“People can cope with it, Harry. Stop hiding from the world.”
