My Grandfather died day before yesterday. December 21st. The funeral was today. I just got back from it. Lots of people were there that I didn't know, some I vaguely knew and barely remembered. My condolences honey. I know what it's like to lose a dear grandfather. Time will lessen the pain but the memories will live on. ))))hugs((((

Im so sorry for your loss, hun, i wish you and your family the best. There's no easy way to handle the pain of losing someone you care so much for, I wish there were. I've lost both my grandmother and grandfather, whom i was extreemly close to...and I lost my mother when I was 17. You never really 'get over' the death of a loved one, but you do learn to deal with it better, as time goes on. Just keep his memory close to your heart, and never forget his smile. That's what helps me...

Thanks for that. You're definately right about everything. It gets a little easier as time goes on. It seems like the only thing that will be left are the happy memories, which is good.
