A friend of mine has been greatly upset. He's quite prideful, I believe that he needs encouragement and understanding. Perhaps even an extra act of kindness. Any suggestions?

Well, just being there for him helps a lot more than people really let on, I think.

Is it distracting though?

Probably not enough. What does he like to do?

Let me see. He likes sparring. He has a fondness for grains and sometimes cheese...

We can remind him that this is in no way a reflection of his own worth.

I'd hope he wouldn't think that just one mouse's opinion changes his worth. I hadn't thought of that.

It certainly doesn't make him less of a knight.

Certainly not! He should be reminded just how wonderful and loyal a knight he is.

What kinds of things does he like?

Sparring, with swords, acts of heroism like any knight, cheeses, grains... He doesn't care for cats.

Perhaps you can buy him a book. About knights.

I'm not sure if he likes reading. I suppose it doesn't hurt to try. Reading can be a good distraction.

Thank you...?
