There's a knock on Susan's door, Peter standing outside, arms folded across his chest as he leans on the wall to the side of it. They'll all need to talk about it soon, but for the moment he seeks to speak with the Gentle. Her levelheadedness is often an asset, and this is especially one of those times, easily acknowledged.

Susan opens the door, it was shut only because she finds the noises coming up the hallway to be distracting when she's trying to read. With a glance she sees Peter's serious state of thought.

"Peter, come in." She holds the door open for him and offers him to sit in her chair or wherever else he can.

His thought is that it was too good to last, that if she had been here once it was only natural the City pulled her back again, but he just didn't expect it so soon. Entering, he shakes his head at the chair offered with a mild smile, as if to say it's not necessary. Really he's hoping she will sit, but he won't point that out at the moment.

"What do you think? We still have the barrier Merlin provided us with, but beyond that..." he pauses, glancing sideways. "I believe it's safe to assume if she doesn't have her wand now, she will find a way to acquire it again."

And there it is, the problem, plain, but not simple. Jadis is a problem with or without her wand but with it the stakes escalate and he wonders how much the deities do or do not care about all she could do, given just the right openings.

That thought, yes Susan has been turning it over and over in her mind. The White Witch has returned, that duration of quiet carefree was gone too soon. Rather than lamenting its passing for too long, she felt that trying to warn any person who would listen on the Network as a good coarse of action. Defense, well, that would be the next step.

"For an emergency, like the last one, we should investigate other barriers." Heaven forbid that they be locked out once again. Susan's brow furrows, she didn't want to think about Jadis having her wand. But it was gone in the battle. "She would use it if she had it." They would know very soon if she had it.

Susan sits down and looks at the carpet in thought. "Maybe we could plan places to go, like hiding places. Just in case."
