No. The barriers had broken before except nothing came out. At least, not that I remember. And the animals stayed. The clock didn't stop, at least I don't think.... We didn't think it was wise to leave.
We had a friend who once cast a charm over the house to keep it safe. There must be more people out there who are able to do it now that I think about it.
The 'deities' don't often operate on our type of logic though do they? Still, I suppose they need a place to exist too. I don't expect they're going to tell us when it's to stop - like anything else.
