I remember this poll done wondering who was bella's best friend? so I decided to do one on Edward. Who was Edward's best friend? Who did you think he trusted the most with his secrets? Who do you think he confided in the most?

good question. If Bella wasn't there, I'd go with Alice. I just pretended Bella wasn't an option, because really Bella is his best friend. But there are some moments that show Edward and Alice have a strong connection. They have abilities that work well with each other. Alice seems to look after Edward a lot, and by extension, Bella. She reaches out to Bella early on and more than the others, which I think says a lot about her relationship with Edward. And the fact that she asks Edward for gifts (dumb, when she should have enough money to buy her own things, but whatever) shows a real brotherly/sisterly type bond.

Man, this is tough.

I think Alice can understand some things Carlisle can't- the mind reading and temptation, but it's obviously that he trusts Carlisle immensely. Not just with his existence, but with Bella's life.

And Emmett is just a good buddy-buddy too.

BUT Bella is Bella. I think they will become even closer, especially now she's a vampire.

Bella, even he and Alice did not have that kind of a bond. Bella brought him out of darkness and gave him a reason to be alive.
