I was just going to post this. A friend of mine had this very conversation last year after she read Breaking Dawn. We both agreed Carlie would have been the perfect name.

I would have named her Elizabeth after Edward's mum, I just think it will be really heart warming.

Also sub consciously if it wasn't for her, Edward would have never been a vampire and had never met Bella, so it could be like a thank you present.

Also Elizabeth will never know her granddaughter.

I would have loved Renesmee to be called Elizabeth. Elizabeth Masen was such an important part of Edward's human life - she sacrificed her own life for his. And since Breaking Dawn is all about Bella attempting to sacrifice herself for her child, it would be a nice way to draw a parallel between Elizabeth Masen and Bella.

As for if it was a boy, I chose Other. I would have wanted them to call their child "Charles/Charlie". Because Carlisle and Edward and Jacob will live forever, but Bella's father won't, and it would be a lovely way to remember him.

Elizabeth is a really pretty name and it's quite old fashioned like Edward.

Also they can call her Lizzy, my aunty is called Elizabeth and we always call her Aunty Lizzy.
