"Get in," a furious voice commanded.

It was amazing how instantaneously the choking fear vanished, amazing how suddenly the feeling of security washed over me as soon as I heard his voice.

...

"I followed you to Port Angeles," he admitted, speaking in a rush. "I've never tried to keep a specific person alive before, and it's much more troublesome than I would have believed.

...

About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him - and I didn't know how potent that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

My always favorite;

"Did you ever think that maybe my number was up the first time, with the van,
and that you've been interfering with fate?" I speculated, distracting myself.

"That wasn't the first time," he said, and his voice was hard to hear. I stared at
him in amazement, but he was looking down. "Your number was up the first
time I met you."

I would hate it, if I could read people's minds especially of people you like and trust, I would hate it you got to hear what they really think of you and find out things that you didn't know.

Sort of like Matt from Heroes who has the same gift found out about his wife's affair.

That's one power I'd hate.

+ What purpose do you think Bella's nightmares play in the story. Do they just illustrate how she's working through her discoveries or are they something more ( ... )
