Apathy

Yup. Feeling...not much. I guess more than anything I'm getting really sick of school. Not that I really want to be out. Or that I don't realize how awesome most of my classes are and how lucky I am, etc. etc. I think it's just that my life is so routine right now and it's bugging the hell out of me. Even my social interactions have become so ( Read more... )

I understand how you feel. I'm getting totally bored with my classes and my job, but I can't do much about it now. I have to wait for graduation to end the classes, I have to wait a little bit and do a lot of job hunting before I can find a job that makes me happy, and I just generally need to find more time to do things I enjoy. I haven't done that pretty much all year because I've been so focused on doing well, working, being successful... oh yeah, paying rent. *sigh* I can only find hope in the fact that this will be the worst of it for a long time.

Doesn't quite live up to the image of college everyone presents, does it? Sigh. Oh well. Hopefully if we work our asses off for a little longer, we can finally enjoy the benefits...I'm thinking being a bum for a couple of years is sounding really good =) Keep pluggin' - I'll be rooting for ya!

Ditto. I'm even sick of hockey. And all I want to do now is take off to England early. :(
Hmm... positive distractions? Maybe take up a new sport? Soccer always looks fun.
As for internships, it seems to me like you don't actually get them unless you know someone. Isn't that how everything is? I doubt I'll even hear back from the places I've applied to.
What experience do you want (imagine getting) out of China?

Yea, I hear you on that. I think more of what I need is a change of scenery. New places always provide pretty good, exciting distractions. A new sport might do it too, but honestly I don't know that I have the time or energy right now to pursue one...Sigh ( ... )

Do you know anyone else going to China when you are? That could help with the adventure. I've been reading some people's blogs (who are abroad now) and it seems the ones with people they know going, or the ones who quickly make friends while they are there are the people having the adventure and all the fun. Otherwise, as girls, we can't exactly travel anywhere we want. Which SUCKS ( ... )

Haha. Just realized I never responded...I've been a bit of a lurker lately, haven't I? I know a gal going to Singapore next fall, but her program starts early. I also know a girl going to Beijing, but she's already bought her tickets, so she doesn't have flexibility. Plus I don't really know her, it's more of a know of her kind of thing.

I'm sure you'll get accepted! I'm excited for you =) And of course I'll have the urge to visit; I don't think I'll have the funds to follow through, though =( If I win the lotto, you know the first thing I'm doing ;) Or maybe something less extreme will work out, but I'm not getting my hopes up. It would be fun to travel with you though!
