So Neil somehow made it through the atmosphere alive before he dropped into the ocean? o_0 Wow, that's like surviving a direct hit from a nuclear warhead. ^^;; I have to wonder how exactly he did it. But it's great that Neil is awake now. Got to wonder what would happen next when Lyle comes home and finds his brother awake.

And I loved the penultimate two paragraphs of Lyle's part. I suppose it's all still conjecture at this point, but I think you've got a good handle on Lyle's character here.

Thanks! Yeah, that's the sad thing...it's all conjecture. He could be rendered completely out of character with a single episode. But, well...it's fun writing him, so I don't mind. It's a relief knowing that you think it's a good guess on his character.

I was thinking of the same thing as mangaka_chan where Lockon made it through the atmosphere alive before dropping into the ocean, living up to his name of "the man who can snipe you from the other end of the stratosphere" (but in this case, "a man who can snipe you outside of the stratosphere") XDD. *gets shot

WHOA, very very detailed and well thought out scenarios! I'd love to see some of them be written out, that'll be awesome!! Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be touching on that subject anymore. I'd rather leave it a bit ambiguous. It helps that Neil doesn't remember much of what happened either, except in flashing bits and pieces, and he's probably not the type to talk about it all to anyone.

(although, I *am* tempted to write a dark, disturbing spin-off about his time spent captured. Ugh, no, NO, I shouldn't tempt myself... but the idea is sooo appealing...I didn't say that! >.<)

I'd read it if you're going to write it :D! I don't know if you have/haven't noticed, but I am was posting as that lol!anon person a few entries ago. The fanart is kinda...coming, but don't bet too much on it, because I wasn't really happy how those two look XD.

mm, very nice. XD my brain works in very simple ways so i have nothing more intelligent to say other than the fact that you really make lyle's character much deeper than what we've seen so far <3
but it really fits and makes sense because in ep 4 there's a sort of complex going on.

Yeah, I read somewhere that Lyle is "very stressed on the inside". Dunno if it's official or just speculation, but it seems to fit his character. And yes, he has shown some nice complex and contradictions in the anime for us fanfiction writers to poke and prod at. ^o^
