I feel atrocious.  The antibiotics are making me feel poo, and my back/right shoulder is giving me sufficient grief that driving (and to be frank, typing) hurts rather a lot.  Both of those put the kibosh on lots of things that I was going to do on my day off.  It's fair to say that I'm not a happy bunny today.  It may even be that I don't go into ( Read more... )

I'm hardly an expert on these things, but I'd say sell it for what it is: the 'hook' for your book (as in, what makes it different from every other book on the shelf) is largely the rallying angle.

So, my logic would go: don't try and appeal to everyone as you'll just end up being non-descript. Wack that car on the front cover and be done with it.

Title wise, Full Throttle sounds like the kind of thing I'd be looking for. It's short, captures the action/thriller element as well as the automotive and sounds good. Only real problem? It's been used before in a lot of contexts.

Thanks - that was my intuition. My gut instinct with the cover is to try to get an image which makes someone pick it up to have a look at it (even if it's just because they can't work out what it is).

My big problem with FT is that, well, I don't like what's been done before, more out of awkwardness than anything else!
