Happy Birthday, Rai and Grandma!

Jan 09, 2005 11:17

And what a day it has begun indeed. There's nothing quite like being able to wake up on a bright Sunday morning to the sound of silence and then it hits...a conflict of two lifestyles...between that of Diane and Rai. I can't say that I pick a side because they both have their share of fair grievances if you ask me. I just can't wait until they can ( Read more... )

So supposedly God cares when a sparrow falls from the sky, but you are slightly amused when you kill a rabbit? That's not very Christ-like. Yes, it was an unfortunate accident, but maybe you need to have a little more respect and remorse when you end an innocent life. God didn't create that rabbit for you to have shits and giggles when you run it down. Think about it.

woah hey now...cool it on the swear words! Besides, it was more "slightly" than any "amusement" you know...

I hope that little furry ball can find it in its heart to forgive you for being amused at its untimely death under your "poor unsuspecting Metro." Good to know you have more feelings for your car than you do another life. Might wanna start praying, Linda.

P.S. Maybe a "skit" on the "Sanctity of ALL Life" would be a little more helpful for you.

Some perspective, huh? anonymous January 10 2005, 22:50:25 UTC
It was a rabbit. It ate. It pooped. It slept and if it got lucky, it reproduced. No soul. No conscience. No eternal purpose. Sun still come up? Earth still spinning? Get some perspective.

I had no idea a rabbit could be the source of controversy...of all the whatnot I put in here! I can't believe we've spent this much time on a rabbit.

...Wasn't the sunshine gorgeous today?

Oh, so the fact that you were only SLIGHTLY amused makes it all better!!! Silly, silly me. It offends me more that you were amused at the death of an animal than you can possibly be by a *gasp* SWEAR WORD (yep, I'm definitely going to hell now) So guess what, deal with it.

Side question: would this be a different response from you guys if it had been an OPOSSUM or a RAT or a FLY?!?! Or is it that it was a bunny bother you???

hey hon, what's the deal with these responses? sure, i wouldn't say life isn't sacred, but come on, it's a rabbit! do you [guys, who left responses] know how many die every die? and have none of you ever hit an animal?
and think about this- when something sad happens, some ppl use humor/irony to deal with it, rather than letting the sadness get over. crying over a rabbit isn't going to bring it back to life, and sadly it's like one in a million that dies on the highway.
