DungeonPunk???

Following the previous post mentioning 'dungeonpunk' I have to ask, is it a book genre along the lines of Cyberpunk and steam-punk or is it solely a RPG gamer expression? Is it a common thing, I've never heard of it before and does it deserve to be tag in the Comm I manage? I'm both intrigued and puzzled.

I'm guessing it's not all that common: I'm a big sci-fi fan and hang out with a lot of gamers/games writers/publishers, and I've never heard the term before, either (whereas for steampunk, I have both books and outfits).

But the first thing which came up when I Googled it is a pretty good page here with a definition and examples from various media, including books. It reckons China Mieville's Bas-Lag books qualify as Dungeonpunk, for example.
