"double dipping" in Spanish

Hi,
is there a Spanish equivalent for the term "double dipping" (when people put a food item or a spoon into a dip (food), take a bite and put it back in)?
if not, what is the best way to formulate "No double dipping!" in Spanish?

I agree with the points some of the other Spanish speakers have made. The concept certainly exists, but there is no one convenient "fits all" phrase that can be used such as "double dipping." Perhaps our cultures aren't as collectively disgusted by sharing saliva as others might be. :-)

You'd probably have to explain it... "No vuelvas a meter la comida en el plato/la bandeja/whatever luego de morderla/contaminarla con saliva." Or something along those lines, I suppose. But it sounds a little condescending to me, like something you would tell a child.

Where is this person from? I think the point various people were trying to make is that it *isn't* considered disgusting in some Latin American countries, so you treating her like a child might not be a culturally adequate response. A more productive way could be to talk about cultural differences towards what is considered disgusting or not, and to share that double dipping is frowned upon from a hygienic standpoint in your country. Shaming them might not be necessary if it is due to those different interpretations as to what is "gross".

The person is from Argentina, and she is treated the she is, because she was already asked not to do that - and she still does! It's already not about the cultural differences here, but about the personality...

we saw that the woman is not capable of learning or understanding, so those of us who can't stand the double dipping stopped eating of an opened jar.
