I need a little help. I can't figure out the lyrics of Faun's "Von den Elben" (2013 version). The 2003 version was sung in Middle High German, and the lyrics fit perfectly. But this version doesn't appear to match the original's lyrics, and it doesn't seem to match translations into modern HG either. I even looked at the

ahh! maybe I should have looked further. I only Googled "Faun Von den Elben 2013 lyrics" and I don't recall that showing up, or maybe it did, in like the second or third pages of the search. thank you!

I found this googling - it seems to be intended to be the one in your video, but has some mistakes that make it make no sense, or that change the meaning of certain parts. I don't think the person who took it down was a native speaker. Allowing for the vagueness that can come from people singing rather than speaking, this is what I get as a corrected version of the linked bit:

Von den Elben will mein Lied berichten
Von Edelmut und reinem Herz will ich nun erzählen.
Auf langer Reise mit der Schönsten aller Frauen
Hab ich deren Zauber die Welt verändern sehen.

It is modern language, with the obvious constraints/style changes that come from it being poetry. I might have missed some typos in the text still, as I went over it fairly quickly
