I -love- listening to Estonian. I'm an out-and-out Finnophile, and I think it sounds even prettier than Finnish does. As well, I get inwardly really irritated when I hear people saying they don't like German because it sounds "harsh," because I don't think that's true at all. It only sounds that way if you really exaggerate the "ch" sound beyond how you would normally say it.

And as a native English speaker, I hate English a lot. I don't find any intrinsic beauty in it...it's kind of like when you blend a bunch of pretty colors together and find out that what you get is actually a murky grey-brown, moldy bread type appearance.

I think non-German speakers put way too much emphasis on the ch! I have to wonder if it might not be because they've seen too much movies about WWII. Of course German might sound harsh from that exposure; it's being bellowed angrily, for God's sake. The natural language sounds nothing like that, so I get irritated as well.

I actually can't give an opinion on the languages I grew up speaking. Those languages are just...there, to me XD

It may depends whether it is the [x] or the the other ch(can't remember transcription) The further south you get the harder it gets. Even if the [x] we in the north are still quite soft on that where as south German only do the hard one and the swiss . oh my it turns more into snake like sound than a ch lol.

I love listening to Dutch, I find it very charming. Also Queen's English and London(-ish) English.

I don't like French all that much. I find all the consonants pretty harsh and it sounds a bit... snotty to my ears. (French accents, on the other hand, are sweet.)

The language I find the most pleasant to listen to is Catalan Spanish, followed by Irish Gaelic.

I don't like french- don't like all the nasalised sounds..
I don#t hear Italian often but it does sound pretty, surely the best of all romance languages.
I like several English accents, like Kiwi one, (well general direction) it sounds cute.(like a kiwi ) ;)
Also like the northern English one like geordie they arent pretty but I like the roughness of it also other north English accents. Also with scottish not so much irish English, although i guess it depends on the speaker, That young Irish snooker player boah had a hard time understanding him lol.

Not such a fan of American accents especially not the southern drawl lol but also not the generic mid western hollywood film one. meh.
There was this canadian darts player(darth Maple) His accent wasnt too bad don't know where in canada he comes from but it sounded better than an US accent.
