What does this eraser's label say?

I found this eraser in the classroom I teach in, and I'm really curious about the label. What language is it? What does it say?

It looks like Japanese---looks like I see の and 人. I can't tell much beyond this, however; I'm horrid at handwritten Japanese.

I'm sorry but that's not Japanese. I took a few Japanese clases and their characters look nothing like that ^^U I mean, it looks really messy.

It might be Japanese, in calligraphy style. However it is sideways in the picture, and I'm not actually sure which direction to rotate it so it's face up. I am horrible at reading calligraphy.

Upon reflection, I'm 90% sure that yes, it is Japanese, and you rotate it 90 degrees to the left for it to be face up. Still have no idea what it says, though.
