So I have eight days off from school for Spring Break and I want to teach myself Esperanto. What's a good book or website to start off with?

esperanto

I suggest you to start from Lernu!

I've heard good things about Lernu, too.

I just completed the course at pacujo (http://pacujo.net/esperanto/course/) and found it very helpful, although it does throw a lot of stuff at you at once, especially toward the end. I'm reviewing that stuff by doing a beginner's course on "lernu!" right now, and it's really good too.

One course I like is Kurso de Esperanto, a downloadable 12-lesson multimedia introductory course. If you've still got time after that, a not-too-bad follow-up course is Gerda Malaperis!, a course (on Lernu!) in the form of a short story with sound recordings.

If you've already learned all the grammar stuff from Lernu, Kurso de Esperanto is kind of a joke... but still good practice. :)

Jes, mi konsentas pri Kurso de Esperanto - se oni jam konas la gramatikan fundamenton. Kontraŭkaze, ĝi tamen estas amuza enkonduko. Bone estus sekvigi ĝin al vortaro-riĉiga kaj lego-ekzerca kurso kiel Gerda Malaperis!.

Yes, I agree regarding Kurso de Esperanto - if you already know the grammar basics. If you don't, however, it's a fun introduction. It would be good to follow it up with a vocabulary-building and reading-practice course like Gerda Malaperis!.
