Um yeah, let's see how this goes now, two months later. Classes are over now, so I finally have some time to write some stuff, though I really don't feel like doing it because this is going to be an annoying task for sure, I'm splitting up entries in rough groups, so they won't be too long.

I'm soo disappointed about this class too. I put a ton of effort into the final project and Fredo gave me a 7.5/10 because he said it was a "systems project." I mean, why didn't he tell me that before, when I submitted the proposal and asked him questions over email? He was like, reuse code if you can, because this is an ambitious project... but then he claimed I didn't write enough original code. What the hell. I emailed him asking him about it, and he said, on second thought maybe 7.5 was harsh and an 8 is more appropriate, but it doesn't change your final grade. Fyi my final grade was a B (I had 9.5, 10, 9, and 10 on the psets). This puts me at a 90 average but he claims that is still a B. :(

and btw that is super harsh. i got lucky then somehow, how did you do on pset0? because otherwise that is really close to my grade.

Yup this is Crystal. I had a 10 on ps0, I didn't know that counted too.

I emailed Paul again asking what the grade cutoffs were for the different letter grades, and Fredo sent me an email saying he thought about it more and is filing a grade change of A- for me. No idea what happened, like if there was a miscalculation of my pset average or a change of heart, but I am certainly happy they are changing it.

To some extent I know they are "just grades," but on the other hand I was like depressed for a week after seeing the B because I thought I had an A or A- for sure; it wasn't like other classes in the past where I was borderline, and I never would have inquired for any other class I took. The grade change is improving my mental health.
