Saturday night one of my cousins was married at Descanso Gardens in La Canada.  Fun wedding.  ( Some pics )

One of the former WCers, who now posts on Constant Chatter, adopted a dog a few months ago (part poodle, and part something else). He checked out healthy when they adopted him, but he was admitted to the animal hospital yesterday with an enlarged heart and fluid in his lungs. He died this morning. I'm around, but have been COMPLETELY swamped at work, and the next 3 weeks are looking the same. Add that to the fact that we're dog sitting my sister's dog this weekend and our dogs are not too happy about it, so it's been a loooooooong night. Thank goodness!!!! I hopefully will get to leave within the next hour or so, making it more like 4 1/2 days off! Just got back from a delish Mexican lunch with Steve. Our patio is almost done getting tiled and now I feel like we totally made out with the builder ruining our yard, because the tile is awesome and FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Gotta love ( Read more... )

Still a dork and still posted my health & fitness stuff here instead of in daily_stats. Duh.

The long weekend was just what I needed. Still tired, but it was a good weekend. Daphne was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, so she's on steroids right now, which have helped her tremendously. No more upset tummy-yah! Saturday I had a breath test to see if bacteria is growing in my stomach and causing my IBS symptoms. Negative. Ugh ( Read more... )
