One of the things I love about Reaper is the fact that Sam/Sock/Ben are hetero-boyfriends. They have this great friendship that is just so close. The subtext is there, but it could also be read is really intense male friendship, which I love, too. And they're not afraid of going against gender norms when they have to (i.e., Sock and Ben slow dancing). I think we have Kevin Smith to thank for that because he is just made of awesome.
