sometimes it thinks you're about to do one of those tag things... mine didn't work for a longlong time.

I can't ride without my hands on the handlebars either :(. hehe

I'm the same with most of them. Except the closet thing. It can't be halfway for me. it either has to be ALL the way open or Shut. :)
