Spock was now staring at the sensor readings like a lover at his mistress-a lover whose actual mistress sat one station over on the Bridge, likely nearly as bored as Kirk but hiding it better. a) Funny and b) can I totally picture ZQ making that face? Why yes, yes I can.
FUCK you are good. Out of the gate hard comes an amazing three-dimensional Kirk. Out of the gate. ALSO, FUNNY. And not just funny but funny in a scarily jj-esque tone. I am also a bit biased, as you know, but the rhythms and, um, camera angles, if you will, felt very reboot!canon to me.
And as always incredible detail without pages of chunk-paragraphs or useless science stuff.
YES COTILLION YES. omg how I wish I could draw. PRICELESS.
"If I’d had your natural advantages-“ “I shudder to think." I laughed out loud. no joke. and when Thalia says 'loud,' she ain't being poetic. AND THEN YOU MADE ME DO IT AGAIN. And a couple more times.
get so many, it’s impossible to say if there’s

Your comments are like the first sip of champagne after midnight: the party goes on, but the second glass is not as good, and after that it's pulling confetti out of your hair and falling asleep on the couch. This is why I do this, actually.
:) Elegantly put. And sorry for the tardy thank-you; I only just saw your comment.
Bronwyn (if that's really you) is a lovely name! My father apparently wanted to name me that, and in a way I'm glad he didn't succeed because it's hard to spell (for Americans). But it is beautiful and distinctive.
Okay, I loved this, particularly your description of the observation deck, but I have to say: I'm so stuck on Bones at cotillion. I love that image way, way too much.
I think this needs to be a fic of its own. Did you see "Comanche Moon"? The little boy playing Karl's Woodrow's son looked just how I imagined mini-Bones looking.
OMG - I didn't realise that you'd posted this - how the fuck did I miss this? You already know how much I love this fic - I am so going to pimp it on my next replicator minestrone. And thank you so much for that comment - me and Plato in the same sentence? *shakes head* I am going to have to put that quote in my user info if you don't mind - so cool. I fucking love your words! Or maybe that can be on on my gravestone...
They both chuckled, dumb twelve-year-old chuckles that felt wonderful
he felt, baselessly, as if a promise had been made and not delivered
asked himself whether there was anything he might be too shocked to hear, or too reluctant to give, and thought of nothing ooooo, yum. *runs to part 2*

WAY to early to be thinking about that. Too many pretty boys still roaming the earth...
