Oh, beautifully done.
I loved it. I'd really like to know what happens next..always a sign that a story was successful for me.

This is just too lovely and wonderful. The disappearance is a perfect, poignant image to tie the whole thing together. This is quite possibly one of my favorite Trek fics I've ever read.

So it is! The Shadow Play Girls, to be specific. :)

Oh, this is beautiful. I love the humanity (and Vulcanness -- personhood, I suppose?) that underlies every single political conflict, how it's all messy and complicated and full of people doing the best they can, and how you give a snapshot of that complication instead of tidily resolving any of it, because that's not how life works. Life works like this: complicated, and starkly simple, and moving forward.

Wonderfully done.

What a gorgeous and insightful comment--thanks so much from both of us! You are exactly right about how politics is messy and personal, which is why I think conflicts always look simpler from the outside. It's also why DS9 was my favorite of the Trek series--it brought in religion and culture and politics and then personalized, so you understood how everyone had a stake in the game. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
