Yeah, I really felt for you this afternoon. I know the Cardinals were picked by the Pope to toe the party line back in the day, but I wish they'd at least tried for someone who might address the Church's lost footing in South America and speak to more of the non-European church.

My mom and I both feel that it's a bad sign that he named himself "Benedict XVI." What a boring, stuffy name. I mean, if you have the chance to name yourself, wouldn't you want to name yourself something good? Also, the sixteenth? Obviously boring and stuffy. Completely unoriginal.

Mnie's prolly irrelevant but when I'd heard that he caled himself Benedict the frist persona that sprang to my mind was Benedict Arnold. I have no rational explanation for it.
