Man, how do I make my pictures bigger without being all grainy? The originals are huge, and these are WAY too small! You can't see any of the detail. :(

I have no clue, since I'm a technophobe: I hate teh tech, and it hates me back. But I'm sure there's a way.

Also, when some kind soul tells you how to make 'em bigger here, be sure to also comment in the faery costuming community (I forget the name, but you know the one).

Sho pretty. Remember, my dear....post-wedding headpiece!! :D

PS: on my LJ I can just click and drag the corner of an image to make it bigger. But if the image actually downloaded small...well...what program did you use to host it? Photobucket? Did you check to make sure the settings aren't set to download it in a smaller format?

I just upload straight from my computer. I did try the manual resize, and I also tried changing the size by numbers when uploading, and it was all grainy. I don't get it. It shouldn't work like that. What do you do? Your pics are always the right size and look great. I'll check my settings.

It showed up fine on your computer screen before uploading?

And on photobucket, when you upload, you changed "Reduce to" to "1 MB file size"?

It's a JPG too, right?

well, I uploaded it from my hard drive, and THEN i got to choose my size, which is where it got screwy. I figured they just uploaded the original then resized it for the journal page display, but it doesn't appear that way. I haven't ever put anything on here from photobucket. Yah, it's a JPG.

LOL! I had dreads once upon a time, too, and then ended up cutting them off because they got to be too much to handle. Anyway, to make it stand up straight, I highly recommend Got2Be spiker glue. There's nothing else like it. Even the really expensive salon spiker glue doesn't work as well. You have to be a little careful with it, though. You don't need very much! They also have a great hairspray.. in a yellow bottle with a foghorn-looking spray mechanism... it rockxs.
On the tamer days, I use Garnier Surf Hair for a chunkier or sleeker look, or just let it dry somewhat and hairspray it, sometimes adding a little of the glue or surf hair stuff where necessary.

How funny that this turned into a hair blog. hehehe

Oh, and what books are you talking about?
